The School Library
The library is the greatest asset of SUN Academy. It offers a good collection of reference and reading material. Weekly library periods are arranged for each class.
Music
Music is given due importance in our school. Through this medium we aim to develop a child’s skills and knowledge in performing,listening and composing.
Computer Lab
A fully-equipped and updatedcomputer lab with all facilities including internet and networking is a unique feature of SUN Academy. Here students can collect information and prepare assignments on various topics. A separate computer is assigned to each students so that he/she can work independently.
Sports
Special stress is laid on physical education and fitness.By organizing inter-school sports competitions, we aim to inculcate a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. The school is equipped with the infrastructure for various indoor and outdoor games and sports.
Table Tennis, Basketball, Throw ball and Badminton are played at the school premises. Annual Sports also include Track and Athletic events.
Learning beyond Classrooms
A gamut of co-curricular activities along with academics are offered for all round development of the children. At SUN, learning is extended beyond the classrooms through numerous competitions, cultural activities, gardening, inter-disciplinary studies, social work, environmental awareness programs and educational field trips for hands on learning.
Makerspace Room
Makerspace Room is a new attraction for primary students. It is sponsored by Ms. Momina Mazhar studying in the USA as her Girls Scout Project.
Makerspace is more than space itself, it is a mindset that can and should be taught (Gerstein, 2014). We have a student culture of children who have learned to consume technology; educational zombies with all of their technological skills residing in the swipe of an index finger. With a maker space, we can move beyond consumption to creation! A maker space is about “turning knowledge into action and allows for a true opportunity to support personalized learning.
Science Laboratory
A spacious and ventilated Science Lab will be made available in the near future, which will be equipped with necessary scientific apparatus for conducting practical experiments to enhance scientific learning.
Educational Trips / Excursions
As a part of its educational curriculum, SUN Academy will take its students on excursions to historic locations to give them a proper insight into our rich heritage.
School Canteen
School provides canteen facility to students and staff members. All food items are selected by the management keeping in mind the food’s nutritional values and quality.
Sunny Zoo
Sunny zoo is a great educational tool for our students. Our zoo's paramount purpose is to promote love for animals and learn about their habitats. It exists not only to educate, but also being a fun and a safe place for learning outside the classroom. Sunny zoo is sponsored by Dr. J.K . We have peacocks, Chinese and Buffalo hens, different species of birds, turtles, rabbits and geese. Parents and children give donations for animal's feed.
School Security Camera And Video Surveillance
Safeguarding the well being of all students and staff is a primary concern for schools today. A properly installed system of school security cameras is an important tool for ensuring safety on school grounds. Schools facing challenges such as violence or vandalism on campus find school security cameras an indispensable aid to identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Our school is also safe and sound as there are 16 CCTV cameras are installed under proper vigilance.
